On Wednesday, the 23rd of March 2022, the Oscar award ceremony of the 8C took place in the Aula of the Einstein-Gymnasium.

Before the event, the students of the class were divided into small groups and each group had created a four-minute film about the city of Potsdam. At the event, every team first introduced their film and then the class watched all the films together. Everyone wrote down their nominations for the Oscar awards.

There were five different categories: content, music, cutting, speaking and pictures. After that there was a break in which one could eat or take pictures in the photo booth. Meanwhile the nominations were evaluated.

After the break, the big sentence came: “And the Oscar goes to …”. The winners received their Oscar trophies and gave thank you speeches. The event ended with a press conference in which all the winners were interviewed by the class. What an event!
